Thank you for your interest in Girls Inc. of Halton's Summer Camp Final Registration is now open! Cost to attend camp is $150/week and includes a camp shirt and all activities.

2018 Summer Camp Lineup


Art and Technology

This week the girls will be using the medium of video to express themselves! Girls will explore how art and technology correlate and different ways we can use them.

Discovery Leadership

In “Discovery Leadership” girls will develop their leadership skills and create lasting social change through community action projects. They will celebrate the heritage of girls and women as leaders and develop awareness of themselves as community resources and trustees of the common good.

STEM: A Focus on Technology

Girls will explore the ever changing field of computer science and robotics. This program will support girls to pursue STEM related degrees and careers, through mentorship and exploration within this field.

Art and Technology

Girls Inc. Olympics!

Girls will learn to appreciate an active lifestyle as they develop movement and athletic skills, cooperative and competitive spirit, health awareness, and interest in sports and adventures!

Girls Dig It (Archaeology)

In “Girls Dig it”, girls will explore the science of archaeology through hands on, minds on activities that lead them to questions the world around them and deepen their understanding of their own communities.

Forensic Science

Girls will work together to learn forensic science techniques like dusting for fingerprints and matching ink blot samples to solve mysteries that are occuring at Girls Inc. Camp!

General Questions About This Event

  • Who can attend camp?

    Girls who will be in grade 1 in September, to girls in grade 12 in September are eligible to attend camp!
  • What is camp like for girls Grade 9-12?

    Our Leaders in Training (LIT) program gives teenage girls the opportunity to gain meaningful experience, develop lasting friendships and think critically about the world around them. This program is multi-faceted, where the participants spend part of their time in age appropriate programming, and part of their time assisting the younger campers and practicing their leadership skills. 
  • Who can volunteer for camp?

    Adults 18+ with a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Is previous Girls Inc. programming required to register?

    Previous Girls Inc. of Halton session experience is not required to attend or volunteer for camp.
  • Where will the camp be located?

    The camp will be hosted by Our Lady of Victory, Commercial Street Milton.
  • What if I can't afford camp?

    We are working hard to maintain program accessibility so all girls can attend Girls Inc. of Halton Camp.  Fees will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
  • Why should I enroll my daughter in this camp?

    Girls Inc. of Halton’s mission is to “inspire all girls to be strong smart and bold.”  During the school year we offer research based programs, in 21 schools across Halton Region that include: Friendly PEERsuasion, Media Smarts, Discovery Leadership and Action for Safety.  The summer camp will build on the principles in those four programs and actively encourage the holistic development of each girl.  Girls will create art and technology projects, learn more about health and wellness, while discovering more about themselves, their peers and our community.
  • Are their programs in other Halton municipalities- Oakville, Burlington, Acton or Georgetown?

    We will be hosting the camp out of additional Halton locations in the 2018 season, more details to follow.
  • What are the hours of camp?

    Camp will run Monday to Friday, with drop off starting at 8:00am and camp programming running from 9:00-4:00. 
  • Is after care available?

    After care is offered for an additional $30 per week from 4:00-6:00.
